Secret Santa!

Ruthie, Elizabeth, Kailey, Marisol and Mia gathered together on Christmas Eve to exchange their secret Santa gifts together! Elizabeth was just coming in with their refreshments before they began.

“Are we ready to start?” Elizabeth asked her friends as she placed the tray of beverages on the table.

“We’re ready.” Ruthie says as she spotted a can of soda on the tray. “Kailey- are you seriously not drinking hot cocoa with us? It’s Christmas!” Ruthie shook her head in confusion. “I already told you, I can’t stand hot cocoa, or any Christmas drink for that matter.” Kailey replies. Elizabeth handed out the drinks, “why don’t you open your secret Santa gift first Ruthie?”

Ruthie excitedly began to open her gift. She gasped with delight when she saw what was inside. “Fairytale and fantasy books! Oh thank you! Who are these from?” She asked

“They’re from me.” Mia laughed softly “you’re pretty easy to buy for, Ruthie. You should go next Elizabeth.” She said, smiling.

Elizabeth began to open her gift, she gasped when she saw what was inside. “Oh my goodness, my grail squishmallow! Who is this from? I can’t believe it!” She exclaimed.

“It’s from me.” Kailey replied. “It was pretty hard to find her, but I was at Target a few weeks ago and I saw her buried in the back amongst the others. She was the only one left! I knew I had to get it for you.”

“You’re so sweet. Thank you very much, Kailey. I’ll cherish her.” Elizabeth closed her eyes with happiness.

Next was Kailey to open her gift. “Woah! A new underwater camera! Thanks! Who’s this from?” She asked excitedly.

“It’s from me.” Ruthie said. “I hope you take lots of great photos with it, Kailey.” “Oh I will! You do realize this also means I’m taking you to the beach right?” Kailey laughs.

“Oh- no thank you. I’m not much of a swimmer-“ Ruthie quickly shook her head making Kailey laugh.

Next was Marisol to open her gift. “Oooh! A new dance bag! Thank you so much to who gave me this!”

“It’s from me.” Elizabeth replied. “I know you’ve been saying how you’ve had to keep repairing the rip in yours. I wanted to get you a new one.” “Thank you, Elizabeth!” Marisol smiled “I’ll think of you every time I use it.”

Lastly was Mia to open her secret Santa gift, but that only left one person left who it could be from. When she took out her gift she was stunned. “New ice skates? That only leaves…Marisol.” She turned to her friend.

“I know it’s over the twenty dollar limit, but I couldn’t handle to see you so upset anymore about your skates being broken. I saved up and got you another pair so you could skate again.” Marisol smiled. “I-I don’t know what to say, Marisol.” Mia was speechless. “You don’t have to say anything. Merry Christmas, Mia.” She hugged her friend.

The Christmas Treat Thief! (Part 2)

About two hours after the girls had went to bed and left out the treats, Chrissa had woken up from bed for a glass of water. She had been away at a swim meet all day, and had no idea that the treats were in the kitchen.

She grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, then turned around to find a surprise in front of her eyes.

"I had no idea that the girls' baked Christmas goodies today." Chrissa says as she walked over to the counter that were filled with goodies.

"Gosh, these look awfully delicious. I'm sure it would be alright if I had just one,,,"

"That was one of the best gingerbread cookies I have ever eaten! Maybe just one more..." Chrissa says as she grabbed another cookie from the tray.

"Mmmm, okay that was the last cookie. Are those vanilla cupcakes?! I have to try one."

"I've eaten enough, I don't want a stomach ache, or to disappoint the girls." Chrissa turned her head as she spotted a brownie tray. "Please tell me those aren't brownies with powdered sugar on top...."

After eating almost every gingerbread cookie, three cupcakes, half of an apple pie, and a few brownies, Chrissa groaned with guilt and a stomach ache. "ugh, my stomach hurts. Why did I eat so many treats?! Now the girls will have to bake more because of me!"

Then, Chrissa looked over to the table beside her, she thought she smelled another sweet treat. "Sugar cookies?! My very favorite! Maybe if I have just one, my stomach ache won't get worse."

"Oh my gosh! I think I'm going to be sick! I ate all of them! I have to get out of here before someone finds out that I ate them!" Chrissa quickly ran out of the kitchen and back to her bedroom.

The noise that came from Chrissa running back to bed woke up Grace. She got out of bed, and made her way to the kitchen to see what the noise was. Little did she know what she would soon find...

After not finding anyone in the kitchen, Grace turned and gasped in horror. "My goodies! Someone ate all of my Christmas goodies! Who would do such a thing?!"

Hope you all enjoyed this story! Happy Holidays!!

The Christmas Treat Thief! (Part 1)

Grace, Nicki, and Nellie have spent all day baking Christmas goodies for their family and friends! They all woke up early in the morning to make sure they had an early start on the day.

With Grace’s experience in baking, she knew just what to do for each treat.

Nicki was in charge of frosting and decorating the desserts!

Nellie worked on taking the goodies in and out of the oven. She made sure they cooled properly, and that everything got baked to the proper temperature and time.

They baked, mixed, iced, and decorated each treat with care.

Later that evening, after all of the goodies were finished, the girls cleaned up. They all helped each other to wash everything they used, there was quite a lot!

After the girls finished cleaning up the kitchen and supplies, they stood by the counter to admire their work. “I can’t believe we made all of this today, I couldn’t have done it without you both.” Grace said
Then, all was quiet in the house…..until….
