One Magical Halloween Night….

On one magical Halloween night, a witch deep in the autumn forest was practicing her spells. She was a good witch, casting a spell so that all of Halloween would be fun and special for all. And on this magical Halloween night, all who loved this day had the most spooky, and the most magical day!

Elina’s Cozy Fall Nook!

“Is it recording, Janessa?” “Yes, go ahead.” “Hi! I’m Elina! Today I’m going to show you my cozy nook that I use to write for my blog, that is now fully decorated for fall!” Elina said enthusiastically. 

“First off we have my desk where I do my work. I started my blog, “Whimsy & Words”, three years ago. Since then, I’ve gotten quite a number of followers who love my fantasy stories that I write! Luckily I was able to make it my full time job too! I have my laptop here, along with my pencil cup which I changed out for fall. I also added some fall scented candles, along with some cute fall figurines. Oh, and my pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks. All of the little figurines here are all from Michael’s!” Elina explained

“Next we have this little shelf over here. On top we have a light up pumpkin, which is from Hobby Lobby. It’s probably one of my favorite decorations, it’s just so pretty. Next to it is another candle, and behind it is another figurine from Michael’s. Inside the shelf is a mix of some of my books, along with some of our Halloween vhs tapes. I do have a lot more books, but most of them are in storage right now. The candles that you see are all from a wonderful seller on Etsy, and the other little figurine is also from Michael’s. The ones I kept on the shelf are some of my favorites. We also have a chair here with a super soft blanket draped over it. Sometimes I like to sit there to try and brainstorm ideas.” Elina said

“To the right of my desk, we have another shelf. Most of my books were here too, but I put them in storage so I can decorate for fall. On top we have a little light up mushroom house with a little gnome from Hobby Lobby, he’s just so cute! Then we have a cute little ladder decoration, also from Hobby Lobby. Then, we have my favorite of the figurines, a little fall fairy! She’s also from Michael’s. There’s also another candle which is from that wonderful Etsy seller. Below we have a little fall foliage thing going on. It’s all faux, but I thought it looked very cute. Besides the shelf we have Harold the Squirrel! I named him myself, he’s just so dapper! He’s also from Michael’s.” Elina giggled

“So, as you can see, my nook is perfectly decorated for fall, and it’s very cozy. There’s also pumpkin fairy lights strung around the room. Because, how can it be cozy without fairy lights?! Usually I’m not one to brag, but fall is my absolute favorite season- well, spring normally is, but it’s fall now.” Elina laughed. “You said it was spring last week though-“ Janessa said from the other end of the camera. “Well yes- I did. Anyway! Janessa offered to film a tour for her you tube channel and to showcase my blog, which was super sweet of her.” Elina smiled. 

“I spend most of my mornings’s and early afternoon’s in here working on my stories. But everyday, one of our dogs, Coconut, always comes to sit with me. He’s the best boy, we’re very close. I never grew up with a pet, but when I moved in here, we were instantly smitten of each other.” Elina giggled

“Well, I should really get to work now!” Elina said as she got into her chair and resumed her writing. “Alright- well I’ll leave you alone now.” Janessa said from the other end of the camera. The door suddenly swung open-

“Hey! Whatcha doing?” Delia asked. “Oh just working on a story, Janessa filmed my writing nook tour.” Elina explained. “Cool! Well- Genevieve and I were wondering if you and Janessa wanted to go to Michael’s with us? Afterwords we’re going to get pumpkin spice latte’s from Starbucks. Alexa and Lacey are going too, but Genevieve is driving.” Delia explained.

“Well, I should really stay here and write. But, I don’t mind coming with. I can always resume my writing later in the day and work until the evening.” Elina nodded. “I’m up for going!” Janessa said from the other end of the camera. 

“Okay cool! Lanie and the crew went last week to hobby lobby, but we’re gonna get some Halloween stuff!” Delia grinned. “Maybe we can stop at Spirit Halloween too-“ she added. “Delia- we were just there yesterday.” Janessa laughed. “I know- but I wanna see all of the cool jump scares again! Plus that cool subway car thing with the zombies!!” Delia grinned.

“We’ll see, Delia.” Elina laughed, “I don’t know if we can convince your sister to drive you there again-“ “Ugh, she’s such a spoil sport sometimes-“ Delia frowned. “Anyway! Thank you all so much for watching!” Janessa said into the camera before she turned it off. “Why don’t you bring your camera with, Janessa? You can film us shopping.” Elina said with a smile. “Hey that’s a good idea!” Janessa agreed.

“Do you both think I can convince Genevieve to drive us to a haunted house this weekend?” Delia asked them both. “I don’t know- she doesn’t like scary stuff.” Janessa shrugged. “I know, but Lindsey and I really want to go-“ Delia sighed. “You two are such daredevils.” Elina laughed, “let’s head out.”

Birthday Celebration!

Throwback Epcot Meetup!

 Last November, I had the joy of meeting two doll friends in Disney World! We met up in Epcot! I sadly couldn’t bring a doll with me, but one of my friend’s brought an extra one for me. It was such a fun evening! Here were the photos from our adventures!

Hopefully sometime soon I’ll be able to meetup with them again for more fun times! Expect some throwback pics coming up, I have so many photos to post!

A Relaxing Afternoon

It’s late summer 2007, and Delia is chilling in her bedroom playing her favorite games on her Nintendo DS!

Skating into Trouble?

It was a busy first week back to school, and the day was just beginning. Students rushed through the hallway to get to their classes, chatted with friends, and grabbed books from their lockers.

Delia and her best friend Lindsey were leaning against the lockers before their next class. “Would you believe this crowd?!” Delia sighed with frustration. “I know, we’ll never make it upstairs to science if we don’t hurry. Waiting out the crowd probably wasn’t the best idea.” Lindsey noted. “Well, I don’t know about you, but I refuse to be late to my favorite class.” Delia smirked as she stood up straighter. “Oh no- please don’t tell me you’re going to do what I think you’re planning-“ Lindsey looked at her friend. “A little adventure never hurt anyone.” She giggled as she put her skateboard onto the ground. 

Delia began carefully skating through the crowd of students “MOVE!” She shouted over the chatter. Students quickly moved away, not wanting her to knock into them. Everyone at school knew this was a very typical Delia move, she had gotten in trouble loads of times because of her recklessness and daredevil personality. As she skated slowly down the hall, Delia clicked play on her iPod, “Anything But Ordinary” by Avril Lavigne began to play, one of her favorite songs.

As the crowd in the hallway began noticing Delia, most began to cheer and applaud her on her daring move. Alexa turned her head to see what was going on, and let out a sigh “Gen-.” Genevieve looked at her best friend, “what is it?” “You’re not going to like it. It’s your sister.” Alexa replied. “What did she do now..?” Genevieve looked into the crowd “good grief- not again.”

The noise roused the principal, leading her to the commotion in the hallway. She stood there blocking Delia’s path. Delia gulped the moment she saw her, “Principal Smithens, want a ride?” She joked, trying to make light of the situation. “My office. Now.” Principal Smithens answered with a frown on her face. “Aw come on- don’t be a spoil sport! They love me! About time we get some fun around here.” Delia replied boldly. “Do I look like I’m kidding?” The principal answered sternly. Delia sighed and climbed off of her skateboard, the small crowd in the hallway began to cheer her name. “Thank you, thank you! This won’t be the last stunt of “Delia’s Skateboard Adventures!” She puffed out her chest in pride. The principal cleared her throat, raising an eyebrow. 

Delia reluctantly followed Principal Smithens to her office, she hoped her punishment wouldn’t be too bad. Elina, one of Genevieve and Alexa’s closest friends made her way through the disappearing crowd to them. “I can’t believe what your sister just did-“ she was speechless. “Oh please, she’s been doing this for years. At our old school she was in trouble twice a week for years. She’s gotten suspended more than anyone I know. I’m shocked she was never kicked out permanently. She’s jumped off desks, skated down the halls or down the stairs, blasted music in the hallways or classrooms, skipped class or school all together, ran across the lunch tables screaming lyrics of her favorite songs.” Alexa held back a laugh “You forgot the time she made the lunch tables like a skate park. Then she went head first into a kid with a big tray of Mac and cheese and milk. She reeked of dairy for the rest of the day.” “I try to forget about that….” Genevieve sighed. Elina was speechless “wow- I didn’t know. I mean, she’s got guts though, that’s for sure.” “That’s a nice way to put it.” Genevieve added. “Do you think she’ll do this again?” Elina asked. “Oh, absolutely.” Alexa answered. She was right.
