Summer Camp! (Part 2)

“Where is Jess? We’re going to be late meeting everyone at the lake.” Janessa let out a sigh. “She said she was going to reserve a spot by the lake for us. But that was over an hour ago! All of the good spots will be taken by then.”

“You know Jess.” Nicki said “she’s always chatty with everyone. She’s probably in a deep conversation with someone as she’s holding our spot.”

“That’s true. But I really want to get going soon.” Lanie added “today is our last full day, and I really want to enjoy it before we have to go back home tomorrow.”

Just then, the cabin door swung open. “Hey! Sorry I took so long! I was talking with this girl who has traveled all over the world with her family! We were talking about all of the places we’ve been to. Plus, guess what? She plays soccer too! But don’t worry, I got us a great spot by the lake.” Jess smiled brightly.

“Well, I’m glad to hear it. Is she joining us too?” Janessa asked. “I’ll have to get us some snacks and drinks too.”

“Already taken care of! Just follow me and I’ll lead us to our perfect spot. Don’t forget your camera, Janessa. You’ll want to take lots of pictures, I’m sure.” Jess added.

“She never takes it off.” Nicki laughed. “You know, I’m really going to miss you guys.” “I’ll miss you all too. We have to promise to stay in contact okay?” Lanie replied. “Promise.” They all said together with a smile.
