It was a perfectly cozy fall afternoon, and the girls were baking some extra cookies they had from Halloween!
“Alright, I cleared out the freezer. I didn’t realize you bought so many boxes of the Pillsbury Halloween cookies, Grace.” Jess said as she set the boxes of cookies on the counter.
Grace giggled, “I bought 5 boxes of every type they had! Good thing I got them in the beginning of September too. They were gone by October.” Jess laughed, “well, they certainly haven’t gone to waste here. I have to say, I’m rather sad that these are the last of the Halloween cookies.” “True, but that means we have the Christmas cookies to look forward to!” Grace added with a smile. “And the Thanksgiving ones! Please tell me you got those too, Grace?” Jess asked. “Of course I did, I have them in the freezer in the garage. We’ll make those when these are all eaten. It’s too bad they only make the cookies with the little turkeys on it. They could’ve done some with acorn designs, or leaves too.” Grace replied as she finished frosting her cinnamon rolls that just came out of the oven.
“Are you going to help us with the cookies, Kenna?” Jess asked. “Nah, Ginger and I are having a staring contest with this brownie right now.” “Please don’t let her eat that, Kenna. She can’t have chocolate.” Grace added. “I know, she won’t. Mind if I finish this brownie tray?” Kenna asked. “You better not- I just made those!” Grace cried. “Exactly. Nice and warm brownies.” Kenna giggled mischievously.
Happy November!! October just flew by, didn’t it?🍁🍂
