Locker Trouble

Elina walked over to her locker to grab her lunchbox. Lunch had already started and she missed the first few days minutes because she was talking to her teacher about her project. “Ugh! Why won’t this thing open? I’m going to miss all of lunch if I don’t get it open soon! I swear- it has a personal vendetta against me.” She frowned as she tugged it open again with no luck.

Delia walked up to Elina and casually laid against the lockers as she sipped her juice box “Sup.” “Hi?” Elina replied “my locker is stuck.” “I find if you threaten them, it seems to work.” Delia replied as she sipped her juice box again. “I’m sorry- threaten?” Elina laughed softly.

“Yep. Threaten. Always worked for me.” Delia said unfazed. “You do realize it’s a locker right?” Elina laughed again. “Yeah, and a stubborn one apparently.” Delia said as she watched Elina try to pull it open again. “I don’t get it- it’s the same passcode as always.” She sighed. “Alright- step aside. You need some muscle.” Delia stepped forward.

“If you’re gonna bash my locker in-“ Elina began. “Relax. I’m not gonna do that. What are you trying to get in there anyway?” Delia asked. “My lunchbox.” Elina sighed “I’m gonna have like no time to eat by the time we’re done.” “Here, hold this.” Delia handed Elina her juice box.

“Don’t sweat it. Step aside.” Delia stepped in front of her locker with a grin and began to tickle the door. “Tickle, tickle, tickle!” She giggled and then with ease unlocked the door and it swung open.

“Are you kidding me?! You touched it for a second!” Elina said with shock. “I told you, I’ve got the special touch.” Delia laughed. She took out Elina’s lunch box from her locker and handed it to her before shutting it again.

“Wow, thanks. Well, at least I still have 15 minutes of lunch.” Elina said as she took the lunchbox. “Don’t you have class, or lunch?” “Eh, yeah. I’m always just around.” Delia shrugged. “You don’t go to class?” Elina laughed. “When I feel like it I do.” Delia shrugged again, unfazed. “I-“ Elina was lost for words.

“Thanks for getting my locker open.” Elina said. “Sure thing. See you around.” Delia replied. “I’m gonna be bumping into you again, aren’t I?” Elina laughed. “Probably. If I’m not lurking somewhere, I’m skating somewhere. That’s me, Danger Delia.” She looked dramatically away.

Happy December!❄️
